My birthday is this week which of course means lots of birthday presents! I received this fabulous Vince leather jacket in the Forest color and absolutely love it. It reminds me a lot of the Rick Owens leather jackets. It is paper thin, super soft, and looks great both open and zipped up. I already have a few black leather jackets and I love the forest color because it is still a neutral but more unique than basic black. It is more like an army green with a grey tinge which will work perfectly with this season’s military trend. However, this piece is far from being a one season trend item. I plan on working the military look by wearing it with my J Brand fitted cargos but I will also wear it with jeans, over dresses, and countless other ways. It is available all over the internet and at Saks Fifth Avenue at Beachwood Place for $995. It is expensive but a great and versatile leather jacket will last forever and only get better with age (and wear).

L.A.M.B. Runway Plaid Jacket

I have never purchased anything from Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. line but this jacket is very tempting. It just looks so comfortable but also super chic. I love a shawl collar and this jacket does it perfectly. It is a fabulous statement jacket for fall/winter but it is still very easy to wear. I am a big coat person (how can you not be when you have Cleveland winters to contend with?!?) and this would be a great addition to any collection. The shape of it is gorgeous and it can be worn open or closed which is a big plus in my book. It is available at Shopbop’s website and while you are there you must check out all of the great new fall/winter items. It is one of my go-to websites because shipping is fast (and free), the return policy is great (and easy), and tons of new items are added daily. The jacket is $445 which is very reasonable for a designer coat. Happy shopping!

I just ordered these wedges for fall and can’t wait for them to come in the mail. I have always loved a wedge as they offer an extra lift but are still comfortable and stable. I have been looking for a great shoe to pair with skinny jeans and cargos and these fit the bill perfectly. They would also look great with jeans or khakis rolled to a couple of inches above the top of the shoe. I love the preppy but rugged look of them and the color is a great neutral that can work with almost anything. They are available all over the web but Net-a-Porter has a full stock of sizes. The price is $350.

Bring Your Dog to a Cleveland Indians Game at Progressive Field – Puppypalooza – August 26

We are really excited to have this first time opportunity to partner with the Cleveland Indians for Puppypalooza. The Cleveland Indians are inviting all four-legged friends and owners to the first ever Puppypalooza at Progressive Field on Thursday, August 26. Fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark as the Tribe hosts the Oakland Athletics at 7:05 p.m. The evening will be filled with activities, pet vendors and more fun for your favorite pooch. A portion of the proceeds from each Dog Package will benefit the Cleveland APL. In addition, dog owners, along with their “best friends” will be entertained by the theatrics of Jake “The Diamond Dog” and other dog-friendly activities. Owners and dogs can also participate in a special on-field Puppypalooza Parade during pregame ceremonies prior to the game. More information may be found on our website.

Madewell Leather Jacket

This is one of the best deals I have seen in awhile. Under $400 for a real leather jacket? Amazing. I love the two color options of dusty blue and off white. Both colors are neutral but are a bit more interesting than basic black. The jacket is cut beautifully and can be paired with everything from dresses to jeans. If pressed to choose between the two colors I would probably go with the blue but chances are I would probably cave and end up ordering the parchment color a few weeks later. The entire Madewell site is fabulous. Super affordable and easy to wear pieces and the quality is great. Check out the jackets here.

Tory Burch Feathers

I have always loved anything and everything frilly and feathered. However, it is a very difficult look to execute. The fabulous Tory Burch has solved this problem with her amazing Fawn skirt. The thick waistband makes the feathers look chic and slimming as opposed to overgrown and unflattering. I think it is such a fun and festive look for the fall and winter season. Pair it with a very simple and unembellished top (let the feathers take center stage!) and black tights and booties to give it a bit of an edge. I think it would look great with a crisp white button down (the slim no-wrinkle ones from Brooks Brothers are my favorite). It is available for pre-order at Tory Burch’s website here and costs $525.

J Brand Houlihan

I try not to immediately jump on the bandwagon when it comes to hot new fashion items. However, after hearing for what seems like forever about how amazing the J Brand Houlihan cargo pants are, I caved and tried a pair on at Nordstrom the other day. Well, the verdict is in. And these pants are definitely worth the hype! They are the perfect skinny cargo pant. Even better, they are cropped, which means no alterations required for me. The fit is incredible and they are really comfortable. They are very slimming and are such a great staple item to have in your closet. The price is a bit on the steep side ($231) but I swear to you they are worth every penny. I have always liked the cargo pant look in theory, but the execution is usually so sloppy looking. J Brand solves this problem brilliantly without sacrificing comfort. I tried to restrain myself and just buy one pair but had so much trouble choosing between the army green and faded black that I splurged on both and am very happy that I did!
