Words cannot express how excited I was to learn that my favorite online shopping site, net-a-porter.com, was going to be launching its very own outlet site called theoutnet.com. The site supposedly launches in the spring, and you can sign up at theoutnet.com to be notified when it is officially up and running! In the meantime, those of you who have yet to discover the (pricier) joys of net-a-porter should check out the site immediately. The site is extraordinarily well-merchandised, carrying high-end designers such as Zac Posen, Marchesa, and Roberto Cavalli, as well as more affordable brands like Tory Burch, James Perse, and Catherine Malandrino. While the prices tend to sometimes run on the high to astronomical range ($2635 for a Balmain tank top…I think NOT!) there are some gorgeous investment pieces to be had as well as some more reasonably priced items. Last season I picked up an Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress and a Matthew Williamson gown during their big sale that will be in my closet forever. With new merchandise every Monday and Wednesday, the site is online shopping and browsing heaven!
