The Powder Room at Eton Collection has been open for a little over a year, and I have wandered in a few times to check out their makeup selection and to take a peek at their staff of ultra-experienced professional makeup artists at work. Owner Kelly Miron has more than 18 years of experience as a professional makeup artist and Betsy and Mariella have more than 23 years each. I had no idea that the Powder Room offered a complete array of other services, including facials, brow sculpting and waxes until a friend tipped me off. I immediately scheduled a brow sculpting with Kelly and a facial with Betsy. No wax was used during my brow sculpting (Kelly believes tweezing allows for greater precision), and I left with a flawless pair of arches thanks to Kelly’s skilled (and painless!) plucking. Betsy asked me lots of questions about my skin and skincare regimen and after getting a good look at my face decided I could use the firming collagen facial. It was absolutely fabulous (and relaxing) and I left with noticeably clearer, hydrated, and firmer looking skin without that telltale “I just had a facial” redness. Oh, and did I mention that the enzyme mask she used smelled just like chocolate peanut butter cups? Yummy!! They use and sell a variety of different skincare lines at The Powder Room such as RevitaLash, Cyclic, Circadia, Dermaquest, and Cellex-C, picking and choosing only the best products from each line, which I think is great. It is so limiting when spas use only one product line. I know I love to mix my favorite products from various lines at home so it’s nice to see a spa doing the same! The Powder Room also offers facial packages as well as individual treatments, so you can purchase a series of your favorite facials from their menu that includes deep pore, oxygen, and firming collagen facials, among others, and save a little money in the process. Now I just have to plan a nice night out with my husband so I have an excuse to get my makeup done!!
